That the Parliament congratulates Carnegie College on being crowned the United Kingdom’s Education and Training Provider of the Year 2011 for its commitment to delivering skills for the power industry; acknowledges the innovation and enterprise of the college in establishing the Whitlock Energy Collaboration Centre, developing and delivering the UK’s first Modern Apprenticeship in Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance and developing training programmes with employers to meet their needs, and further congratulates one of Carnegie College’s apprentices, Barry Henderson, who works for Scottish and Southern Energy, on winning the UK Apprentice of the Year – Power award.
