That the Parliament congratulates veterans charity, Erskine, on the opening of its new £1.3 million centre in Forres, Moray; notes that Erskine Veterans Activity Centre North (EVAC North) opened its doors on 17 December 2024 after refurbishing the former Victoria Hotel in the town; understands that Moray has the largest concentration of veterans in the whole of Scotland, which makes this new location ideal for the many veterans living in the north of Scotland; welcomes the fact that this centre will provide peer support, wellbeing advice and tailored programmes to address the challenges facing veterans, while also providing a space for them to meet and socialise with fellow veterans; understands that these programmes and wellbeing initiatives will be complimented by recreational sports and activities all designed to better support the valued veteran community; commends the professional and dedicated staff, who will be based at EVAC North, for their commitment to improve the lives and opportunities of veterans, and wishes everyone involved with the valued and important new centre every success for the future.
No division on record. Either the chamber agreed this motion without a vote, it was withdrawn before debate, or it predates 2011 — vote-by-vote records only run from then.
