UnknownThat the Parliament congratulates Gary Egan, from Stirling District Citizens Advice Bureau, on being named a Fuel Poverty Hero by Energy Action Scotland at a national awards ceremony held in Glasgow in November 2024; understands that the award honoured Gary’s work helping people out of fuel poverty and recognised his efforts for going beyond all expectations, and for going out of his way to prioritise vulnerable people often out of normal working hours; further understands that Gary received many commendations from his colleagues for providing an incredible service to people; acknowledges that Energy Action Scotland’s annual awards are an opportunity for the national organisation to recognise those across Scotland that have made a significant impact in combating fuel poverty, and extends its very best wishes to Gary for continued success in the future.
