That the Parliament congratulates all the award winners of the Central FM Local Hero Awards for 2023; understands that this was the 17th year that the awards have been organised by Central FM, with the aim of recognising the commitment and dedication of local people who go the extra mile to help their fellow citizens across the Forth Valley area; notes that the award ceremony to announce the winners was held on 17 November at the Dunblane Hydro; recognises that David Buchannan received the Bravery Award, Johnny Dreczkowski won the Contribution to Charity Award, Maureen and Neil Kilgour were presented with the Make a Difference in the Community Award and Donna and Stephen Wheatley received the Neighbour of the Year Award; notes that Kelsey Waugh, Martin Hawkins and George Doonan received the NHS Hero Award, Angela Cumming was presented with Carer of the Year award, Clare Doherty won the Teacher of the Year Award and Bowhouse Community Association was named Best Community Group; understands that PC Robert Hill received the Emergency Hero Award, Indie McNabney was presented with the Child of Achievement Award, Lunar Eclipse & Hoof Gang were named Best Business in the Community and James Casey received the Sporting Hero Award; congratulates all the fantastic winners from across the Forth Valley area on the recognition that they have received, and wishes Central FM all the best with planning for the 18th award ceremony in 2024.
