That the Parliament congratulates Molly Cuddihy for becoming the first ever winner of the Dr Sadhu Gupta Award, who devoted himself to charity work by travelling round the world using his expertise to restore people’s sight; recognises that Molly was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing's Sarcoma at just 15 and, after spending a year in hospital, Molly, along with a friend, set up a charity called Every Thank You Counts, which, it understands, raised over £300,000 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital; understands that the money was used to create a new recovery and social space for eight to 12 year olds; notes that the results were presented by Gourock Rotary Club; understands that some of the area’s most talented young people were shortlisted and celebrated at what was a moving awards night when Inverclyde’s Provost Drew McKenzie said that one of the greatest privileges and honours of taking on his role was to see first-hand the incredible young people in Inverclyde, and congratulates Molly once again on this achievement.

Possible final motion text as originally lodged

No carried amendments applied

This is a computer’s best guess at applying carried amendments to the original motion text. It uses simple text rules for phrases such as “insert at end”, “after X insert Y”, and “leave out from X to end and insert Y”. Treat it as an aid, not the official motion text.
