Lanarkshire Locals Back Cancer Support Charity

S6M-07294 · Standard Motion · lodged by Gallacher, Meghan

Lodged on
19 Dec 2022
Heard / answered on
Unknown
That the Parliament recognises that the people of Lanarkshire have raised over £72,000 in three months for cancer support centre, Maggie’s, which is a charity that provides free practical and psychological support for people with cancer and their family and friends; understands that residents took on various challenges in a bid to match the £50,000 Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge, which was set in August 2022; notes that the challenges included taking part in firewalks, walking the Glasgow Culture Crawl, exhausting Three Peaks Challenges and hosting their own events, including bake sales, psychic nights and golf events, and recognises that this is the third time Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Match-Funding Challenge has chosen to donate to Maggie’s Lanarkshire.
No division on record. Either the chamber agreed this motion without a vote, it was withdrawn before debate, or it predates 2011 — vote-by-vote records only run from then.

Possible final motion text as originally lodged

No carried amendments applied

This is a computer’s best guess at applying carried amendments to the original motion text. It uses simple text rules for phrases such as “insert at end”, “after X insert Y”, and “leave out from X to end and insert Y”. Treat it as an aid, not the official motion text.
