S6M-02634 · Standard Motion · lodged by Kerr, Liam

Lodged on
20 Dec 2021
Heard / answered on

That the Parliament congratulates the Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts on securing a gold award at the Dance School of the Year Awards; applauds this fantastic achievement; understands that the awards look to celebrate often-overlooked achievements of dance schools, their teachers and their students; notes what it sees as the vital work that the Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts does for the local community, providing much more than just a dance lesson, by offering support, discipline and teaching young people how to work as a team; understands that dance schools across Scotland have had a very tough time throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and that, in response, the Academy, alongside dance schools around the country, offered virtual classes, which aimed to support the mental and physical wellbeing of students, and wishes everyone at Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts all the best for the future.
No division on record. Either the chamber agreed this motion without a vote, it was withdrawn before debate, or it predates 2011 — vote-by-vote records only run from then.

Possible final motion text as originally lodged

No carried amendments applied

This is a computer’s best guess at applying carried amendments to the original motion text. It uses simple text rules for phrases such as “insert at end”, “after X insert Y”, and “leave out from X to end and insert Y”. Treat it as an aid, not the official motion text.
