That the Parliament celebrates that the Erskine Bridge has been awarded a Category A Achievement by Historic Environment Scotland for being of particular architectural interest; notes that, when the bridge opened in 1972, it was one of the most architecturally and technically designed bridges of the post-war period; praises both the designers and those who have worked hard to retain its reputation as a state of the art landmark in Scotland, and considers that its simple design and striking image has resulted in it being one of the most innovative bridges of the 20th century.
