That the Parliament welcomes Network Rail’s proposals to scrap toilet charges at Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley station from 1 April 2019, removing the charge of up to 50p per person to use the facilities; understands that Network Rail manages 20 major train stations across the UK, and has previously scrapped charges at Leeds, Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street; believes that this action is part of a series of improvements being made to stations, which also include installing water fountains and investing in more help points, to make them more accessible, and also welcomes the steps toward providing free access to period products in station toilets.
