That the Parliament congratulates the team of physiotherapists at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank who carried out the first mobilisation of a patient on a balloon pump in the UK; recognises that a balloon pump is a bulky device connected to a patient through an artery making it extremely difficult for them to be mobile; understands that the technique implemented by the physiotherapists at the Golden Jubilee will help critically ill patients awaiting heart transplant to get vital exercise, which they otherwise could not, and thanks the team for their innovation, hard work and dedication.
