To ask the Scottish Government, what its response is to reports that NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde refers a lower percentage of people require surgical procedures to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital for treatment.

The answer

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde refers patients to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in accordance with the number of spaces they are allocated to support their elective demand.
The Golden Jubilee National Hospital agree allocations with all NHS Boards across Scotland. These allocations are based on the demand highlighted by the individual NHS Board.
