UnknownThat the Parliament supports and commends the Vancouver proclamation signed by more than 60 countries, including Scotland, on 28 November 2015; understands that the declaration noted that the world faces a diabetes pandemic and that this is a growing challenge confronting every government, and further understands that parliamentarians from across the globe demanded that governments prioritise the UN global health targets for diabetes to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment in order to reduce the number of people with diabetes, unnecessary complications and early deaths of those with the condition, including in the Highlands and Islands.
