That the Parliament congratulates the people of Barrhead on the town winning the 2015 Surf Award for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; notes what it sees as the significant efforts made by East Renfrewshire Council to improve facilities in Barrhead; believes that the Barrhead Foundry, the council offices, the health and care centre and the new supermarket have helped to transform the town centre; considers that, once it is built, the new Barrhead High School, will further enhance the area; looks forward to the proposed investment from the City Deal, and believes that everyone in Barrhead should take pride in the positive changes being made.
