That the Parliament congratulates Sister Rita Dawson on being named a Freeman of West Dunbartonshire at a ceremony on 10 December 2015 in Clydebank Town Hall; understands that she received the honour following a unanimous decision by West Dunbartonshire councillors to recognise her enormous contribution to the success of the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice in Clydebank; believes that Sister Rita, who has been the hospice's Matron/Chief Executive since 1986, has helped raise millions through fundraising that has helped to support the 60-bed institution, including extending the facility and introducing high-dependency beds for older people; thanks her for what it sees as her selfless efforts to ensure the provision of compassionate care to families in the area of all religions and none, and considers this honour an excellent way to celebrate both her work and the 65th anniversary of the hospice.
