That the Parliament congratulates the Granite City Flames Basketball Club on its £8,136 Awards for All grant from sportscotland; notes that Awards for All Scotland gives groups the chance to apply for a grant for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need; understands that the group will use the funding for their youth development programme, with the intention of providing more opportunities and quality sporting events for the community; believes that the group is committed to the development and empowerment of future leaders and athletes by using basketball as a tool to develop life skills and values and improve health and fitness, and wishes the club and its teams every success in the future.
