17 Dec 2015To ask the Scottish Government how often dental practices are inspected, and what aspects of their work are reviewed.
The answer
NHS dental practices are currently inspected on a rolling three-yearly cycle.
The aspects reviewed are: staffing, premises and equipment, practice documentation, practice management processes and individual dental surgery suitability. There is also a formal observation of the practice decontamination process.
