17 Dec 2015To ask the Scottish Government what information it has on the (a) size and (b) value of vacant and derelict land in each year since 2011.
The answer
Information on the amount of urban vacant and derelict land for local authorities and Scotland for the years 2008 to 2014 is published in table 4 of the Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey 2014. Information on the average size of derelict sites is published in table 6.

In addition there is a site register that gives record level information for all vacant and derelict sites in the survey, this can be found here:

There is no information available for the value of vacant or derelict land.
