Defeated 29/63
As an amendment to motion S4M-10185 in the name of Keith Brown (Air Passenger Duty), leave out from "with concern" to end and insert "that reducing air passenger duty by 50% would take £135 million out of Scotland's budget in addition to the £385 million that the Scottish Government’s proposed cuts to corporation tax would cost; further notes that these reductions in revenue would have to be fully funded by tax rises or cuts to vital public services; calls on the Scottish Government to confirm immediately what tax rises or public service cuts it would introduce in an independent Scotland, so that the people of Scotland can make an informed decision on 18 September 2014, and further calls on the Scottish Government to hold a serious debate on transport connectivity."
