As an amendment to motion S4M-03295 in the name of Angela Constance (Young People and Economic Growth), insert at end "; believes that there needs to be greater dialogue between the Scottish Government and small businesses; believes that there should be a greater focus on the quality of the training and apprenticeships provided, rather than just on the numbers of places available, so that there is greater emphasis on ensuring that training programmes are tailored to the needs of the individual young people; views with concern that there has been a lack of analysis when deciding how to allocate the £30 million youth unemployment strategy budget particularly in terms of the lack of clear guidance to local authorities on what they are expected to achieve, and is disappointed that the Scottish Government policy was unimaginative in relation to raising private sector capital and expertise to complement the £19 million allocated thus far."
