Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill: Stage 3
On a point of order, Presiding Officer. I feel that you have given an explanation for your reasoning with regard to stage 1 of the bill, and the committee convener has given her view on what happened at stage 2. The Government has said right from the outset that it was neutral on the issue.
We are now discussing wider issues when we are at the amendment stage of stage 3. Surely we should stick to the amendment stage at this moment in time. If there is any discussion to be had about the issues that Mr Ross is raising, that is a matter for the stage 3 debate next week. Could I have a ruling on that, please?
