Health, Social Care and Sport Committee 10 February 2026 [Draft]

10 Feb 2026 · S6 · Health, Social Care and Sport Committee
Item of business
Draft Climate Change Plan
My final question is about the fact that we have an estimated £1.5 billion maintenance backlog. Does that need to be addressed urgently, and do buildings need to be maintained and brought up to standard?I go back to Drumchapel health centre, where the GPs were told that they could not create another room because it would not meet current health standards. However, it is okay for them to be in their current rooms, which do not meet health standards currently, because they are considered historical.
