Tertiary Education and Training (Funding and Governance) (Scotland) Bill: Stage 3
The importance of colleges in the delivery of apprenticeships, as Mr Briggs rightly emphasises, should not be underestimated. We want our colleges to take the lead, but important roles are occupied in the current system by training providers. We want to enhance the system overall, and the role of colleges in the delivery of our apprenticeship system will continue to progress and become more important in the years ahead.
I hope that members will support amendment 10, particularly given the points that were made at stage 2.
