United Kingdom Government Welfare Reforms
Does the member agree with her colleague Jeremy Balfour, who pointed out earlier in the debate that the ADP is not linked to employment, and nor should it be? It is about the additional costs of a disability or long-term condition. It is claimed that savings will be made that will impact the Scottish Government’s budget, but we are talking about two different things. That is really important, because we cannot pretend that a saving on the ADP or PIP will help people to get into work.
