The second item on our agenda is to choose the convener of the committee. The procedure is explained in the papers that have been circulated. Further to motion S6M-00393, the Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish National Party are eligible for nomination as convener of the committee. The nomination of a candidate for the post does not require a seconder to support the nomination. I invite a member of the SNP to nominate a candidate for the post of convener.
