Island Lifeline Ferry Ports (Parking Charges) (PE1722)
I have nothing further to add, and I agree with my colleagues regarding the process and the situation. I also note Gail Ross’s interesting comment that the petitioner may come back if we close the petition. I think that we are in a position where we must close it, as there is no more that we can do. An island communities impact assessment can be done, and the majority of the island strategic group authorities have confirmed their position on free parking. Therefore, I am happy for the petition to be closed under rule 15.7 of standing orders.
