Local Commercial Radio
I have one further small question, although I might pick up on questions that members ask later. I do not want to encroach on anyone else’s area. The changes will inevitably lead to a reduction in the volume of locally produced content. I do not mean just news, as content is about much more than on-the-hour news. Given that fact, how do you think Ofcom will seek to ensure that there is a balance and that people will still have access to broadcast services that provide genuine local radio? Could that be done by, for example, enhancing or assisting community radio?
