Meeting of the Parliament 15 September 2016
On a point of order, Presiding Officer.
Under rule 7.3, I seek your guidance on the comments that were made by Ruth Davidson during First Minister’s questions this afternoon. She quoted a warning from a representative of the Society for Acute Medicine that there would be “pockets of meltdown” in the national health service this winter. What Ruth Davidson failed to mention was that that assessment related to a report that examined 94 hospitals, only three of which are in Scotland and 87 of which are in England.
As I am a new member, perhaps the Presiding Officer could advise me whether it is possible for Ruth Davidson to be given the opportunity to correct her remarks, for the purposes of the Official Report, in order to make clear that the warnings of meltdown are aimed squarely at the Tory Government’s terrible handling of the NHS in England.
