I support the thrust of what the minister is saying and what Janis Hughes was aiming at. However, I wonder whether the minister's proposals are excessively detailed and bureaucratic. Does she envisage drawing up regulations that would say that any bus shelters could be included in a scheme, or, if North Lanarkshire Council wanted to have a scheme in Cumbernauld, would it have to get specific approval for including bus shelters in Cumbernauld in its scheme? I am not sure whether the provision would be general, or whether each scheme would have to be approved in detail. The latter would be a mistake.
