Bone Marrow Register (PE687)
Our next petition is PE687, which is on donation of bone marrow and blood stem cells through a bone marrow register. The petition is from Geva Blackett, on behalf of Millie's campaign and the Anthony Nolan Trust. The petitioners call on the Parliament to urge the Executive to run a campaign to encourage donation of bone marrow and blood stem cells through a bone marrow register, and to recognise and support organisations that recruit bone marrow donors.I welcome Geva Blackett from Millie's campaign and Dr Stephen McEwan, chief executive of the Anthony Nolan Trust, who are here to give evidence to the committee in support of the petition. You have three minutes each to speak to the committee, after which members will ask questions.
