Thank you for bringing that up. The experiences of council tenants, social tenants and private tenants are different. In council and social housing, reports are often very house focused and do not look at structural issues. Inspections might not look at the gutter or the roof, or see that new external wall insulation has been brought in, which means that ventilation is not working. As a result tenants might not trust a survey because it does not look at all the factors and gives a stock response that does not feel appropriate to what people are living with.
