Meeting of the Parliament 19 November 2024
Does Mr Halcro Johnston agree that two positive things that the Scottish Government could do, if it so wished, would be to help further diversification by the agricultural business improvement scheme, which was successful about two decades ago, and to extend permitted development rights to enable farms to make a contribution to solving rural housing issues and to use their land to maximum purpose? If that need was pressing before—goodness me—in the light of the inheritance tax raid, it is certainly urgent now.
