Members throughout the chamber will agree that unemployment is still far too high, but the number of jobs across the UK is now set to rise by 400,000 this year, whereas it was previously predicted to be flat, and unemployment is set to fall by 200,000 over the next six months. Over the forecast period, it is anticipated that business will create three jobs for every one that is lost in the public sector.
