The solution is about both. As I said, the planning and assessment process needs to be more co-ordinated—it needs to be better. That goes in tandem with knowing what works better on the ground. We gave some examples in our submission. We know that when people intervene and provide support it can make a difference to young people. For example, the reading rich project in South Lanarkshire supported residential childcare staff to do more work around literacy with young people.I think that my colleague from the Fostering Network Scotland can give quite a lot of good examples of how foster carers are supported better around educational attainment.
